AksharAI

Forward Deployed Professional programme

Learn AI work by doing it, on real projects.

Companies do not struggle to find AI models. They struggle to find people who can sit with a team, understand the problem and get something working in their systems. This programme trains those people, on AksharAI.

The programme

Length, format, tracks and certificate

500 hours

3 months full time or 6 months part time, all remote.

Two tracks

Forward Deployed Engineer for the technical side, Forward Deployed Strategist for the business side.

Live projects

Real project work with deadlines, mentored by people who do this job every day.

Certificate

A Forward Deployed Professional Certificate that names your track.

Track 1

Forward Deployed Engineer

For people who want to build. You learn to connect agents to ERPs, CRMs and databases, write the logic, test on messy real data, and explain to a client what the system will and will not do.

  • APIs, data and cloud basics
  • Agents, tools and document search
  • Testing and failure handling
  • Client calls and documentation

Track 2

Forward Deployed Strategist

For people who understand a business and want to lead AI work in it. You learn to map a process, pick the right first use case, design the human checkpoints and build working prototypes with AI coding tools.

  • Process mapping and discovery
  • Use case design and measurement
  • Prototyping with AI tools
  • Scope, risk and change management

What you learn

Five blocks, ending in a live project

  1. Foundations

How current AI works, where it goes wrong, and how companies buy and use it.

  2. Building with AI

Prompts, document search, agents, tools and AI coding assistants.

  3. Systems and integration

APIs, data, cloud, security, and connecting AI to systems people already use.

  4. Discovery and strategy

User interviews, process mapping, use case design and measuring results.

  5. Delivery and the live project

Documentation, client calls, scope, and a real brief with mentor review.

Who it is for

For people who learn best by building

  • Graduates

Engineering, computer science, commerce and management graduates who want project work.

  • Early career professionals

Up to three years in IT, operations, support, QA or analytics, and keen to move into AI roles.

  • Career changers

People from accounts, sales, healthcare and other fields who want to lead AI work there.

  • Working professionals

People who want to learn AI work alongside a job, through the part time route.

Questions

Before you apply

Do I need a technical background?

No. The Strategist track suits people from commerce, operations, sales, healthcare and other fields. The Engineer track expects some programming, and the first weeks bring everyone to a common base.

Can I do it alongside a job?

Yes. The part time route spreads the same 500 hours over about six months. Live project work still has deadlines, so plan for steady weekly hours.

Is it all online?

Yes. Classes, mentoring and project work are remote.

What do I get at the end?

A Forward Deployed Professional Certificate naming your track, a body of real project work you can show, and feedback from the mentors who reviewed it.

Is there a fee, and is there a job at the end?

Ask our team for the current terms when you apply. Strong finishers may be considered for roles at Code Colonies, but the programme does not promise a job.

See it on your work

Bring one slow, repetitive process. We will show you an agent doing it.

A working session with someone who builds these every week.

Or get a ballpark proposal in two minutes

What happens next

  1. Step 1A short call about one process and the systems involved
  2. Step 2A demo of an agent working on a version of your task
  3. Step 3A clear view of fit, approvals and what it would take
