Platform ยท UI designer

Build the screens people actually use: dashboards, forms, tables and side panels.

The UI designer gives your AI application a front end your staff can work in all day. You build dashboards, smart forms, filtered tables and panels that sit inside tools people already use, without a separate design and front end project.

The problem

Good AI output nobody can find or act on

A hospital's medical records team tested an AI draft of discharge summaries and liked the drafts. The trouble was the screen: drafts arrived as text files in a shared folder, doctors could not see which patients were waiting, and nobody could tell a reviewed summary from an unreviewed one. The drafts were useful, but the work around them was messier than before.

What it gives you

Inside UI designer

Dashboards

Show the numbers a team lead checks every morning: what is waiting, what is overdue, what the agents handled and what went to a person.

Smart forms

Forms that fill in what they can from documents or earlier answers, ask only for what is missing, and check entries before they are saved.

Tables and filters

Work lists with filters by status, owner, ward, branch or date, so each person sees their own queue and can sort it the way they work.

Embedded panels

Put an agent or a summary inside an existing tool, such as your CRM or hospital system, as a side panel, so staff do not switch windows.

Review and approval screens

Show the AI draft beside the source, with changes highlighted and a clear approve or send back button. Every decision is recorded with a name and time.

Roles and layouts

Give each role its own view. A doctor sees patients to sign; the records head sees the whole ward; a billing clerk sees only what they need.

How it works

The order you work in

  1. Step 1Watch how people workStart with the questions each role asks during the day and the decisions they make on screen.
  2. Step 2Lay out the screensDrag in tables, forms, charts and panels, and bind each one to data from your flows and systems.
  3. Step 3Set what each role seesDecide fields, filters and actions per role, and hide anything a role does not need.
  4. Step 4Try it with real usersPut the screens in front of two or three people for a week, then fix what slowed them down.

An example

Discharge summary review at a hospital

The records team gets a ward level table of patients due for discharge, each with a summary status. Clicking a row opens the AI draft next to the clinical notes it came from. The treating doctor edits and signs; nothing reaches the patient or the insurer without that signature. The records head watches a dashboard of summaries waiting more than two hours and nudges the right doctor.

Questions

About UI designer

Do we need a designer or front end developer?

Not for most screens. The designer uses ready components that follow your brand colours. For a heavily branded customer facing app, the Code Colonies team can build custom components that your team then reuses.

Can the screens sit inside our existing software?

Often, yes. Embedded panels can sit in web based tools such as a CRM, a helpdesk or a hospital system that allows it. Where a tool does not allow embedding, a link from the record to the AksharAI screen works well.

Do the screens work on mobile?

Yes. Layouts adjust to phone screens, which matters for field teams, doctors on rounds and branch staff who rarely sit at a desk.

What happens next

  1. Step 1A short call about one process and the systems involved
  2. Step 2A demo of an agent working on a version of your task
  3. Step 3A clear view of fit, approvals and what it would take
